Next Generation Initiatives

Young investigators play a critical role in driving change within the research landscape. The CIFAR Next Gen Programme enables exceptional early career researchers from across Canada, and around the world, to engage with our networks, develop their leadership skills and act as catalysts for change beyond their academic environment.

The Next Gen activities span a wide range of initiatives and engage young scholars at all levels – graduate, post-doctoral, assistant professor. The Next Gen Initiatives Programme leverages the inherent energy, enthusiasm and ability of young researchers to take a fresh look at problems and gives them the skills and opportunities to become tomorrow’s research leaders.
